Things to do in Cornwall: Porthleven Food Festival

food, drink, seaside, coast, festival

The not-for-profit community event, Porthleven Food Festival, is free to attend. It brings together the best of local food, fringe events and family fun around the picturesque harbour of Porthleven in Cornwall. The national and international chef’s theatre includes a visit from Festival patron and TV-favourite, chef Antony Worrall Thompson. You’ll find plenty of top-quality food stalls and restaurants to eat your way through the days, as well as events taking place across the community. There’s also music day and night and family entertainment including circus shows and workshops, crafts, rides and parades.

Tips when visiting Porthleven Food Festival

PARKING FOR DISABLED BADGE HOLDERS
There are a limited number of disabled spaces available for blue badge holders – please speak to a steward if you need to use these.

FESTIVAL INFO & LOST PROPERTY
Here you can ask questions and find lost property. You’ll find the Info stall outside the Chef’s Theatre on the Harbour Head.

FIRST AID
An ambulance with a team of trained paramedics will be located in the Shipyard.

DOGS
Dogs are welcome at the festival, however bear in mind that it does get very busy so they need to be ok with crowds. There are no fireworks this year.

COVID
As outlined in the UK’s Living with Covid plans, and the predominantly outdoor nature of the Festival, face coverings will not be compulsory on the Festival site. Some traders may be wearing face coverings at their own discretion.

We want to help keep everyone as safe as possible – visitors and traders alike – so it’s advised to only visit the Festival if you’re feeling well enough to do so.
